1st Family Reunion

For my first family reunion we had quite an adventure. We meet the whole Rothschild & Haar family at Asilomar, a resort in Pacific Grove, CA. It was BEAUTIFUL! We got to see a lot of neat stuff, when we finally made it there, but our travel sure did take a long time.

We missed our first flight and weren't able to get on another one until 5 pm that same night. Due to other problems and weather, we were in the airport for over 12 hours because our flight didn't end up leaving until after 7pm. Uncle Malcolm & Uncle Brian were so nice to wait for us to arrive and took us to the resort. We finally arrived at 11:30.

Our first day was lazy, we mostly relaxed and took the drive on 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach to Carmel. Then we spent the evening with family. On the next day, we went to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium where we saw the new sea horse exhibit. Then we had the family photo taken.

On Sunday everyone but Dad and I got to go on a boat ride. It was in an estuary, and they don't like to take children on the boats because we make noise and scare the animals away. Dad and I took a walk and then a nap. Mom likes this photo because you can see my feet standing on the bench. Everyone on the trip had an animal to count, and Mama counted Otters (her favorite!). Here is a good photo of one that they saw.

My 1st ADPi Convention

Right after Fathers Day, Mom and I went to Orlando for the Alpha Delta Pi Convention. Grammy met us there so she could watch me. We did a lot of swimming, walking and napping. Grammy and I got a lot of rest while Mom ran around crazy. But Mom did get a little time to spend with us at the pool too!

Grammy and I went to the old timers dinner with Mom. I got to be in the fashion show and my Mom's friend Barry held me. She was dressed in one of the old Alphie Costumes. It didn't bother me at all. Mostly I wanted to play with her mane made of yarn.

Here is a photo of Mama with her friends! Don't they look pretty in their white dresses.

Father's Day, Birthday & Zoo Day with Daddy

On Dad's First Fathers Day and Birthday we went on my first trip to the zoo. Dad slept in late, Mom made him french toast (his favorite). She wanted to make it with challah, but she forgot to pick some up, so Dad had to have french bread for his french toast. That makes sense to me, but they won't let me have any yet. Dad says challah makes the best french toast, but that this was really good too. We let him open some of his gifts, the fathers day ones. He let me help him. I really like the envelopes and cards. Then we went to the zoo.

It was kind of hot, and I liked watching the people more than the animals, but I did like seeing the rhino, the giraffes and the elephant show. I kind of liked all of the peacocks too, but Mom said they are mean, and wouldn't let me get close enough to inspect one. Mom took pictures of us in front of the elephant and the rhino. And we stopped in one of the grassy park areas to stretch and play in the grass.

When we got home, we worked in the garden. Ranger ate more strawberries than Dad could pick and Mom took my 7 month growth chart photos. Later we let Dad finish his birthday gifts, and had dinner on the patio. It was a great day to celebrate my Daddy!

Estes Park

Grandma Gail and Grandpa Bob came to visit in June, and we went to Estes Park. It was a lot of fun, even though I couldn't see all of the animals they were seeing from the inside of my car seat. They tell me we saw deer, elk and big horn sheep.

We did have a good time walking the main street, and eating at the cheese restaurant.

Hope you enjoy these photos!

Photos!

Computer Woes

We finally have our computer back after it crashed and Dad had to rebuild the hard drive. We are being very careful with it, and trying not to download to much onto the computer. For now it seems to be working well.

We have a lot to catch up on!

Grandma and Grandpa Haar came for a visit and we went to Estes Park.
Fathers Day & Dad's Birthday was our first family trip to the zoo!
I went to Orlando for ADPi convention with Mom.
We spent a week in California with the Rothchild/Haar reunion.

We will get you all caught up, but in the mean time, here are some photos to tide you over until then.

Swimming with Emerson, Calvin & Nathan

Mom and Emerson introduced me to the swimming pool at the cousin's house. It was fun to play and splash in the water. I didn't really like floating, but I thought the pool was pretty neat. Mom says I start swim lessons on June 8th.
While we were there, cousin Jon thought it would be fun to show me the video game. I loved it! But I like anything that makes pretty lights and noise. Here is me playing Donkey Kong!

"I'm Blushing"

My Mama took me to visit her friend Shelley and her kids Daphne and Jude. Yesterday we were reading Jude's blog and he says he has a crush on me. You can read Jude's blog here. I think he's pretty cute too. Maybe Jude will come visit me when his family comes to Denver to visit Uncle Eric.

Daphne and Jude are fun. They are also a lot louder than Ranger and Scout, so I didn't quite know what to think of all the activity. But they were a lot of fun to play with.

Does this mean I have my first boyfriend?

Memorial Day in Kansas City

For Memorial Day, Mama, Daddy & I went Kansas City. Miss Dona got married, and I got to take my first trip to the farm. It was really exciting. I also go to see my cousin Aubrey again. She is
getting big.

Here is a photo of Mama with Aunt Sarah & Aunt Chris. Aren't they pretty. They wanted me in the photo too, but I had already fallen asleep in Dad's arms. We'll get our family photo from Miss Dona to share with everyone soon. The wedding was wonderful, and we had a fun time seeing the Phillips family.

After the wedding, we drove to the farm. I slept most of the way. When we got there, we got out of our dress clothes and headed down to the pond to go fishing. Everyone caught fish and they showed a couple to me, but I was more interested in playing with my feet. Toes are a lot of fun.

On Sunday at the Farm we did more fishing. This time, Mama drug the baby pool to the pond and covered it with a sheet so I could play on the ground. THEN, I got to go fishing. I never caught a fish, but it was SOOOOOO exciting.

Memorial Day was rainy, so no more fishing, but we did go to Aunt Lonnie's for dinner. Everyone had hamburgers and hot dogs but Aubrey & I she had milk, and all I got was carrot puree. Maybe next time! We had a busy weekend, but even a busier week. Mom drove me all over Kansas City showing me off and visiting friends.

Rubber Ducky

Rubber Ducky Your the ONE, you make bath time SOOO much FUN, Rubber Ducky you're the O-NE-LY one for ME!

I Love My Rubber Duckies!

Mother's Day

So I guess I have to catch you up again on all of my comings and goings. Mom has been hogging the computer as usual. That and any electronic device she touches acts crazy! So, I'll get us up to date in one posting.

Grammy & Papa came to Colorado for a visit over Mother's Day weekend. We had a really nice time. Dad, Papa and I took the Mom's out to dinner at The Fort in Morrison. It was really fun, Mom even let me taste her sweet potatoes since I've been eating them at home. While Grammy was here, we went to the Plant Sale at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Mom bought a bunch of plants, and I got to feel GRASS for the first time. It was kind of tickley...but I liked it!After Mother's Day we had some beautiful weather, and Mom got her tomatoes in the garden and a few seeds started. She says we'll be buying the rest of the herbs and stuff this weekend. I was to young to help plant anything, but I'm looking forward to tasting what comes out of the garden. We're already getting strawberries!

For Memorial Day we took off for Kansas City. I'll give you the update on that in my next post!

First Tooth!

I'm getting teeth. Both of my front teeth on the bottom are coming in. This doesn't always make me very happy. This afternoon I bit Mama's finger and she yelped. I think I might like having teeth...

Curls!

Mom set my hair in sponge rollers to put curls in my hair. Look how pretty I am!

Sweet Potatoes & Peas

Mama & Daddy have started my on two veggies. I LOVE sweet potatoes. And I'll take peas if that's all you have to offer. I'm also getting really good at eating cereal.

Yum! Sweet Potatoes!

Peas?

5 Month Growth Chart!

Look how big I'm getting!

Jumper-Roo

Mama and Daddy bought me a jumperoo at a sale. I really like to Bounce!

Snow Day!

On April 18th we had a big spring snow in Denver. They were calling for 12-18 inches, but we really only ended up getting about 6-8 because it was such a heavy snow. Mom and Dad stayed home because the roads weren't good. They did a lot of baby proofing in the living room. I'm going to start moving a lot soon.

During one of their brakes, they decided to take me sledding in the sled Aunt Tam gave me when I was born. It was fun!

Baby Naming

We went to California for Passover and to have my Brit Bat (baby naming). I had a really good time visiting with everyone and I was even pretty good during the Seder. While we were there, I discovered that I LOVE paper. All kinds, newspaper, wrapping paper, mail, magazines anything. I love how it crinkles and folds. But it gets kind of mushy when I put it in my mouth.

My Baby naming service was really nice. Mom and Dad wrote me a letter that they read during the service. Grandma cried, then we had dessert and coffee. Grandma Bernice has many friends there. We had several people over for lunch after services, and I got to meet some new friends. Hi Dan & Joyce! I also got to see Bob & Karen again. They are expecting a little boy in September. Right now they are calling him Luigi, but they promise not to really name him that.

On Sunday before we left for home, we went to the farmers market with Grandma. I almost lost my binky, but luckily Mom found it. Then we went to Uncle Malcolm's store where we bought a new pan, then we headed for home.

Eskimo Princess

Dad's friends Henry & Molly sent me this outfit. Luckly we have had some late snow so I can enjoy it. Mama says I look like an Eskimo Princess in it.

Kansas City, Meeting more cousins

Mama and I went to Kansas City to visit Grammy and Papa and to meet my new cousin Aubrey. We had a really good time, but I came home with a cold. I was VERY grumpy the last couple of days there, and then a few days at home. But we had a really good time, and I got spoiled as usual.

Me and Aubrey. She was so little!
Cousin Kiernan really wanted to hold me. I had a nice time sitting and rocking with him. I also finally got to meet his Mom and Dad and sister Cora too!

The new Grandmas!
Proud Uncle Paul!

I'm Back!

We have been sooooo busy! I finally have time to get back to my blog. I (and Mom) promise to be better about posting in the future.

Here are a couple of photos into my first foray into cereal eating. I didn't like it then, but I'm catching on now. Read the next few posts to see what...

Someday I might be able to touch my nose with my tongue like Grandpa Bob!

Growth Chart

Here is Hannah's Four Month Growth Chart. I seem to have not taken a good 2 mo photo in the bumbo chair! Oops!

Rock & Roll

I can officially roll over any way I want. I still have some trouble going from by back to my tummy, but watch out world here I come. Dad better get busy with the house proofing or I'm going to start getting into everything!!!

4 mo check up

I had my 4 mo check up on Friday. I was 15 lbs & 1/2 oz, 25 inches long. Both are in the 75%. The Dr said I was perfect, but she still made me get my shots. She also said I could start food when ever I'm ready. Mom doesn't seem to think I'm quite ready yet, but she purchased some rice cereal for when I am. Maybe I'll just have to start staring at the jar so she'll know I'm ready to try something other than milk!!!

Cousin!!!

Tony & Michelle had my cousin on Wednesday! I am so excited to have a cousin my age. She was 20 inches long (longer than me!) and 7 lbs 4 oz (smaller than me).

Her name is Aubrey Loraine Twyman!

Congrats Uncle Tony & Aunt Michelle! I can't wait to meet Aubrey!

Aunt Chris

Aunt Chris came to visit last week while she was on spring break from teaching. We had a really good time. We went down town and went to Boulder to the Celestial Seasonings Factory. They wouldn't let us take the tour because they said the machines are too loud for babies. But we tasted tea and looked at the art. Mom & Chris then shopped in the gift store while I took a nap.

It was fun to see Aunt Chris. I can't wait to see her again!

Saint Patrick's Day Fun!

For St. Patrick's Day, Mom, Chris & I into Downtown Denver and had lunch on the 16th Street Mall. We ate lunch outside on the patio at Chili's. Never in all my life have I seen so many strange and wonderful things. People of every shape, color & dress.

There were lots of college kids. Mom wasn't thinking about the green beer parties when she planned this outing. There were homeless people, and we saw a kid on a skate board get ticketed by the police. I also liked to see the big buses roll by. I didn't like being in my stroller because I couldn't see all of the fun. So, Mom had to hold me on her lap while she ate. It was a great day!

March Baby Club

I love my friends! This month we had Amelia and her Mom Megan join us. I didn't get to stay very long, but I had a really good time visiting with my friends!
